This is the first book in the Alaskan Royals series. This book takes place in an alternate reality, where Alaska is not a state in the U.S. but a country of it's own, with it's own royal family. Christina is an American commoner, she grew up poor, raised by just her mother, who finds herself stranded in Juneau, Alaska. She unknowingly runs into the king, who determines she would be the perfect bride for his son, and next queen of Alaska. Christina then meets David, and we follow her journey though engagement and preparation for a royal wedding and some of the pitfalls that accompany such an event.
