Artemis Fowl

I recently picked up and read all 4 of these, they were pretty good, Not quite up to Harry Potter, but still enjoyable. I really enjoyed Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters series, but am still looking for the latest The Wizard of London. I have also started the Narnia series, but am not very far into the first one yet. I am also reading Kathleen Eagle's Night Falls Like Silk. I am also waiting for Jude Deveraux's First Impressions to get here, and today I ordered Nora Roberts' Red Lily so as soon as they get here I will get those read. Some of these will get relisted, some will be put in my permanant collection to be read over and over.

life goes on...

I have finished the Freedom series, and been working on catching up on some miscellaneous reading of new stuff that I hadn't had the inclination or time to get into yet... I finally got around to reading Janet Evanovich's Eleven on Top, I really enjoyed it, and in the beginning, I felt as though she was leading to end the series, which was slightly depressing, but by the end, it was set up for yet another book (which I am impatiently awaiting!!) I also finally got my hands on Dean Koontz's Velocity, I really enjoyed it, and hope it doesn't take nearly as long to lay my hands on Forever Odd... I also read Elizabeth Lowell's Secret Sister, it was pretty good... And then I was bored again, so I picked up Julie Garwood's Lyon Series, and reread that, finished the last one this morning... Now I need to search for something engrossing to read again...hmmm... I have the Koontz's Frankenstein series, but really don't want to start it till I can read all 3, and since the 3rd isn't published yet... hmmm...

Busy Busy life

eeeks, since moving I have been BUSY, done lots of reading though. I managed to read a bunch of Nora Robert's I hadn't read yet, including the first two in the Garden Series, and all of the McKade series. I also got in Julie Garwood's Slow Burn, and Diana Gabaldon's A Breath of Snow and Ashes, I LOVED that one.. And was more than a little depressed that the series is now over.. I also read Elizabeth Lowell's Always Time to Die and Christopher Paolini's Eragon series (or at least those that are out so far) and I really enjoyed that, it reminded me very closely of a cross between Anne McCaffrey's Pern series and Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar Series. I am currently almost done with Anne McCaffrey's Freedom series, it is one of my faves too.

Well....

I finished Fiery Cross.. And since the latest Gabaldon isn't out yet, I moved on to something else.. Just couldn't interest myself in going back to the pern series yet, so I grabbed Jurassic Park... It has been years since I read it, and it has been pretty grabbing so far... Maybe I will be able to find The Lost World by the time I am done with this one... hmmm.....

That didn't work...

the thought of slowing down my reading that is... I just can't muster the energy to get much done, so that means more reading!!! Fair trade right??? LOL, I am currently about 1/5 of the way through Fiery Cross Will have to find something else to read when I am done with it.. Maybe I will go back to the Pern series... Maybe not.. We will have to see...

Drums of Autumn ~ Diana Gabaldon

Well, I have finished Voyager, and moved on too Drums of Autumn, but this one will prolly go slower as I am gonna try to get more done towards moving and that inevitably, means less reading.. I really do regret things that pull tons of time from reading and crocheting.. (especially when I could be doing both!!) But we have to move, so I need to get packed... At least there will be more room at the new place and I can have my comfortable computer chair back!!

Voyager ~ Diana Gabaldon

Is the current book in the series that I am reading, I have already finished, Cross Stitch and Dragonfly in Amber, I have good copies of all of the rest of the series, but couldn't find one of Voyager so the one I has is full of spelling and grammar errors, and is a bit slow in reading.. But soon I will be through it and can move on to Drums of Autumn, and then Fiery Cross, and at the end of septa, the newest in the series is released... Breath of Fire and Ashes. Hopefully I will be able to find it shortly there after so I can read it... I totally LOVE this series, it is SO engrossing.

New Series

I have recently lost interest in the Pern series.. Guess it hasn't been long enough since I read most of it... I have started reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, I LOVE these books, they are so engrossing, and entertaining. I have had to break them up into parts to get them small enough to read on my Palm as the whole book is just too large of file for the palm to open. But that is ok, as long as I can still read them!!

More Authors

Some more of my favorite authors are Dean Koontz, can't wait for the new one in November, it is supposed to be more on Odd Thomas; Mercedes Lackey, Love her Valdamar series; Julie Garwood; Johanna Lindsey; Jude Deveraux; Catherine Coulter, totally hooked on her FBI series; Elizabeth Lowell, she has a couple of really good series too; Dick Francis; Tony Hillerman, I wait impatiently for more of his; JK Rowling, Yes, I am another hooked on Harry Potter; L. M. Montgomery; Laura Ingalls Wilder; Lois Duncan; Diana Gabaldon, her Outlander series is just so engrossing; Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum series is just SO funny. As you can see I have quiet eclectic reading taste, unfortunatly, there is very little non-fiction that catches my interest as easily.

Anne McCaffrey

I am currently working on rereading the Pern Series by Anne McCaffrey, in chronological order. So far I have read Dragon'sDawn, Chronicles of Pern: First Fall, Dragon's eye, Dragon's Kin (co written by Todd McCaffrey), Dragonsblood (written by Todd McCaffrey), and I am currently working on Moreta, Dragonlady of Pern. I love this series, this is the third or fourth time I have read it over the last 10 years or so. I love most of her books, I have also recently read the Acorna Series, which I really enjoyed and I am looking forward to the next installment, that is due out this month.
