Texas! Sage ~ Sandra Brown

This is the third in Texas! trilogy by Sandra Brown. Sage Tyler is the youngest, and only girl in her family, she feels that her older brothers only see her as the baby sister and a brat, she sets out to prove them wrong. At the same time, she just can't resist her attraction to the troubleshooter her brothers have brought in to help the business, Harlan Boyd. Sage sets out to create a place in the family business for herself, and prove once and for all she is not the air head her brothers believe!

Texas! Lucky ~ Sandra Brown

This is the first book in the Texas! trilogy by Sandra Brown. Lucky Tyler is a suspect in an arson case, only he didn't do it, and he can't find the woman he was with to prove it! When he finally finds her, she refuses to admit that she was with him for reasons of her own.
I enjoy this trilogy, but hadn't read it in about 15 years.

Princess Diaries 4: Mia Goes Forth ~ Meg Cabot

This is the fourth in the Princess Diaries series. Mia has returned from Genovia from the Christmas holidays and school is starting up again. and Mia has issues.. this is not a bad book, but I am going to have to take a break from the series. I can only take so much Teenage Angst without going nuts.

This is the second book in Sandra Brown's Texas! trilogy, I picked them up in the wrong order. Chase Tyler, is a haunted man, he is haunted by the death of his young wife in a car accident. Marcie is an old friend of Chase's from school, and unfortunately, the person who was driving the car Chase's wife was killed in, though, she was not at fault. Two years after his wife's death, Chase is living a reckless life of rodeo and alcohol, when he gets stepped on my ab bull, and just by chance, Marcie is there to witness it. Marcie sees him home safely, and says a few things to him to make him see how much his hurting has hurt those most dear to him, his family.

Princess in Love ~ Meg Cabot

This is the third book in the Princess Diaries series. These are definitely teen girl books, and not the truly any age books that some are, like the Harry Potter Series, or the Anne of Green Gables series, or the Little House series.
She spent the entire book agonizing about whether a certain boy liked her. While at the same time getting ready for finals and dealing with princess training and all the other events in her life. Not that they are bad, by any means, they are pretty good, you just have to consider the target age when reading them.

The Princess Diaries I ~ Meg Cabot

OK, I picked this book up after having seen the movie and thinking it would be a pretty good book. I was right, it is a pretty good book, BUT, try to forget you have seen the movie, or if possible, don't see the movie first. Don't think of this as the same story, the way a lot of movies made from books are. If you can think of them as two totally separate stories, then you will be OK, I had a hard time with thinking... That isn't how it was in the movie!! But it really is a good story, and really well told, I like the diary perspective too, it is different from a lot of things you read these days, it is definitely interesting enough for me to pick up the next one soon.

Shadow Dance ~ Julie Garwood

This is the sixth book in the Buchanan series. In this novel we also learn that the Buchanan series is loosely tied to her Rose series (For the Roses, One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose, Come the Spring). Jordan Buchanan is goaded out of her safe established life by her brother's partner, Noah Clayborne, and she goes to Texas, in a treasure hunt for a friend. What she finds in Texas is a lot more trouble than treasure, and in some ways, more treasure than trouble.

Dark Celebration ~ Christine Feehan

This is the seventeenth novel in the Dark series. In this novel the goal is for all the Carpathians to get together and celebrate the Christmas season, but there are problems from the start. The women are determined to prepare the entire feast in 'the human manner' and there are several problems that arise from being unfamiliar with the methods, or simply that it has been so long since they actually did anything like we do. Added to this problem is that there seems to be attacks being made on the Carpathians. More than one of them encounters a vampire, and the vampires have new tricks up their sleeves too!

Circle of Quilters ~ Jennifer Chiaverini

This is an Elm Creek Quilts novel. It is very different from most things I read, Elm Creek Quilting Camp is hiring for 2 new positions, and have had many people apply. This books follows the quilting stories of the 5 applicants they choose to interview. Each has a different story and life, and quilting means a very different thing to each person, in the end they offer the two positions, but the positions are secondary to the story, the greatest part of the story is the people who apply.

The story was quite engrossing, and I may pick up some more of Jennifer Chiaverini's work.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ~ J. K Rowling

This is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. In this book, they have decided to revive the Tri-Wizard's competition. There are supposed to be Three competitors, one from each of the three schools involved, Hogwarts, Beaubatons, and Durmstrang. However, when the time comes for the names to be chosen, a fourth name was chosen by the magical object set to do the choosing, the fourth was Harry Potter, several years younger than the other competitors, Harry has no clue who put his name in for consideration. As his name has been drawn, he is required to compete, and goes on to try his best at the three tasks set for the competitors.

This was a good novel, it explained a lot of things from earlier novels but still left lots of questions to be answered in the future.

Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood ~ Ann Brashares

This is the Third book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. This year the girls are 17, and moving on in life and preparing to go away to collage. The four girls, Tibby, Bridget, Lena and Carmen take turns with a seemingly magical pair of pants (fits and flatters 4 very different girls wonderfully), and in the wearing, something magical seems to occur with each girl. The wearer will make a realization or have something wonderful happen to them .
A great story, very entertaining and uplifting. A great young adult novel
