This is the second story in the Immortals series.
Emmaline is Valkyrie, who is half vampire, she has no clue who her father is, but is determined to find out. While in Paris, trying to research her history she meets Lachlain, the werewolf king, who has spent the last hundred and fifty years being tortured by vampires. They journey to his castle in Scotland and begin to learn more about each other.
