This book sixteen in the Anita Blake series.
Anita agrees to do a favor for Jason, and ends up going home to meet his family with him, where his father is dying. Along the way she learns more of Jason's past and what has made him the man he is now. They also encounter some new vampires and wereanimials. And the battle between Anita and Marmee Noir continues.

Playing with Fire ~ Katie MacAlister

this is the first book in the Silver Dragons series, an offshoot of the Aisling Grey series. May is a doppleganger, who is bound to a demon lord. After being assigned to steal an item from one of the dragon wyverns, May encounters Gabriel, the wyvern for the silver dragons. They battle through the misadventures of May's twin, Cyrene, and May herself, while trying to figure out who is after them and how to bet May free of her demon lord.

The Last Summer (of You and Me) ~ Ann Brashares

The story of two sisters, Alice and Riley, and their best friend from childhood, Paul, and the summer that changes everyone's lives. As they all make the final turn from childhood into their adult lives, Alice, Paul and Riley experience pain, lose and love.

I really enjoyed this book, it is not nearly as teenage as her previous series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Much more adult, with a definite chick-lit leaning, which I usually am not to fond of, but this one was really good.

This is the second book in the Sign of Seven trilogy
This is the story of Layla and Fox, Fox is one of three boys who accidentally let loose a demon on his home town with a blood brother ceremony when he was only ten. The demon attacks his town, every seven years, for seven days. Fox and his blood brothers are soon approaching their 31st birthday, and the fourth occurrence of the attacks.
This time there have been 3 women drawn into town, and through research and odd happenings, they have been drawn into the fight to get rid of the demon. some are unsure if they will survive this occurrence of the Seven, and others are determined to live anyway.

this is part of the Breed's series and a portion of the Shifters Anthology. Saban is a Jaguar Breed, sent to escort Natalie, a new teacher, to Buffalo Gap, just out side the Breed Sanctuary. As soon as he sees her Saban knows that Natalie is to be his mate. Now he only has to convince her, and get rid of her controlling ex-husband.

This is book eight in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Sookie is back in Bon Temps, and hasn't heard from her boyfriend, Quinn, since the episode in book seven, All Together Dead, when so many of the vampire summit were injured or killed.
She unwittingly becomes involved in a Were war, and a vampire hostile takeover. At the same time, Eric, the local head of the vampire government, who Sookie shares a blood bond with, suddenly remembers a great deal of events that involve himself and Sookie, but due to amnesia he had forgotten.
Sookie also discovers more about her family history, and where she gets her gifts from. As well as dealing with current family issues that force her to deal with some things she would rather not deal with.
