In this novel we also learn that the Buchanan series is loosely tied to her Rose series (For the Roses, One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose, Come the Spring). Jordan Buchanan is goaded out of her safe established life by her brother's partner, Noah Clayborne, and she goes to Texas, in a treasure hunt for a friend. What she finds in Texas is a lot more trouble than treasure, and in some ways, more treasure than trouble.
